The Tenderness of Laughter

«The MJC held its festival

Gromic brought children and adults together again

As part of its Festival of Laughter, the MJC devoted a day to families, especially children. From 4 p.m., outside the venue, the “Feet of Buildings” operation organized by the municipal services offered many activities that delighted everyone.

Then came the time for Gromic’s show. Funny and inventive, this artist knows perfectly how to engage and play with his audience. His moving, dynamic performance — created with just a few simple props (fake eyes, big coat…) — made both children and adults laugh. A delightful discovery. »

« Around the corner of a street, clown Gromic invites us to a delightful moment of poetic magic. Disturbingly true and simple, the artist reveals, without a word, the complex nuances of human emotions. Through a clever interaction with his audience, he manages to create the delicate nebulousness of a bubble from which it’s difficult to escape…»

The focus was on the first protagonist, who entered with clumsy gait and broad smile. The clown “Gromic,” whose real name is Michael Gueulette-was responsible for the successful opening session of activities organized by the Municipal Huerta de San Vicente.

To him fell the responsibility of starting the first applause of an audience, however, at first seemed no opened to many jokes. Even in this situation the Belgian artist did the hardest thing in show business: he was able to make the audience laugh by using … nothing.

There lied and lies his success: he based his show on the use of very simple elements, no paraphernalia, equipment or colorful fireworks. His hands shaped an oddball toad eyes, brown great coat in the style of Sherlock Holmes served to represent multiple pieces of mime surprisingly fun, and his hat, tie and dress were enough to finish decorating a character who put the crowd on its feet, singing and dancing to catchy songs. Description: hands up, palms to the sky and shared happiness. Forming letters and mouths open to sing very loudly the first note of the chorus of “YMCA” by the Village People.

« Place aux mômes. Big success for Gromic

The Place aux mômes festival, a must-see summer event in the town for many years, kicked off beautifully on Monday, July 8.

The outdoor amphitheatre of L’Atelier was packed for the show by clown-magician Gromic, whose wordless tricks and antics made both children and parents laugh heartily.

Young Hugo, from Ploudier, chosen from the audience by Gromic, proved to be an excellent accomplice to the artist throughout the performance! »

« Success for the first show of Place aux mômes

With Gromic, the silent clown, the language of laughter is universal — and laughter echoed through the village square of Kérascoët on Wednesday.

For its first summer performance, the Place aux mômes festival was a hit on Wednesday. Bathed in bright sunshine, spectators filled the small thatched village square in Kérascoët. Created by the Sensation Bretagne network, the festival aims to make people dream and imagine through laughter and charming simplicity.

Michaël Gueulette, alias Gromic, the silent clown, opened the season by betting on kindness, poetry and laughter — without words, but full of life and emotion.

Before the show, Mayor Albert Hervet thanked the Sensation Bretagne network for the quality of the performances offered every summer as part of the festival. He also recalled the role of local councils in providing free shows for families. »

« Tenderness and hugs for the first Place aux mômes

Gromic and his Magomic Show opened the Place aux mômes festival in the seaside resort on Friday afternoon, under the covered market.
A tender and visual comedy, full of magic and laughter, inspired by magicians and clowns. Both children and adults were charmed by this delightful wanderer in a touching, sensitive performance.

With no props or elaborate setup, the artist masters the art of bringing new characters to life, using only his hands and the audience’s participation, in acts filled with poetry and humor.

Wearing a big coat and a wool hat, he delighted everyone with his mime routines. The children were thrilled — and so were the parents.

It was really wonderful” said one father at the end of the show, which concluded with a free-hug session that the audience eagerly joined.
A lovely family moment shared together.

The Place aux mômes festival, offered by the municipality, will take place every Friday throughout the summer at 4:30 p.m., under the market hall. »
